Dear God,

I owe you everything. Accept this dedication as a small token of my gratitude.

Thank you

Salvation

Who will save the baby

Crying in the dust

Starving in this bitter world

Of faithlessness and lust

Who will save the little boy

Broken and alone

Waiting for a healer

To keep him from the stone

Who will save the young one

Calling for a guide

Needing just a helping hand

To avoid the sin-filled tide

Who will save the woman

Lost in her own sin

Unable to find the light

Scared she won't fit in

A voice calls from the darkness

'Come and follow me'

For there is only one answer

'I will save' said He

I watch and wait

I watch and wait

Darkness surrounds

A pin-prick emerges

Struggling to shimmer

To penetrate the mist

I watch and wait

The light shines

Challenging the shadows

Turning their ideas to dust

A spirit glows

I watch and wait

The fire burns

And the shadows are aflame

But they will not smoulder

For the good of His name

I watch and wait

The darkness consumes

The fire becomes ash

Cinders are carried by the wind

Precious blood for every lash

I watch and wait

The spark of deity

Awakens the mortal form

Light spills frm divinity

No believer should mourn

I watch and wait
